Q: When are your walking tours?
A: We offer tours every Friday & Saturday Night at 8:30pm May - September. In October, tours will be scheduled Sunday – Thursday at 7:30pm and Friday &Saturday at 7pm & 9pm.
Q: When are your trolley tours?
A: Our trolley schedule varies from month to month. For the most up to date trolley schedule, please call the Aurora box office.
Q: How do I buy tickets?
A: You can purchase advance tickets with a credit card over the telephone at 678.226.6222, the box office for Aurora Theatre. Walk-ups are welcome, but we recommend getting advance tickets due to the possibility of a sellout.
Q: Where is the tour departure point?
A: Lawrenceville, GA. Ghost Tours depart from the Aurora Theatre, 128 Pike Street in Lawrenceville. Free Covered parking is available at City of Lawrenceville Parking Deck attached to the lobby of Aurora Theatre at 153 Crogan Street. Click here for more detailed directions.
Q: Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
A: Tours sometimes sell out. Advance purchase is recommended to reserve your spot, especially in late October.
Q: Does the tour happen rain or shine?
A: Yes, the tour runs in all weather unless it is dangerous for our patron. If we cancel the tour due to dangerous weather, guests can reschedule for another night. Lawrenceville, GA Ghost Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour if there are not enough participants.
Q: I am running late for the tour-will you wait for me?
A: No. We must start the tour on time because our other guests do not want to wait. The tour leaves promptly. No refunds will be issued to people who are late and miss the tour. Please give yourself plenty of time to get to the tour and find parking!
Q: How long is the tour?
A: Both the trolley tour and the walking tour are approximately 90-minutes and participants will walk about a mile during the walking tour and three blocks during the trolley tour.
Q: Do you offer group rates?
A: Yes, group rates are available for groups of 10 people or more. Groups may also schedule private tours outside of our usual schedule. To schedule a group, call Celeste Mercer at (678) 226-6222 or email email@example.com .
Q: Is there parking near the tour?
A: There are two parking lots near the tour departure point. Please see our directions page for the exact location.
Q: Can I bring my dog with me on your tour?
A: No, please leave all pets at home for the tour.
Q: Can I take pictures on the tour?
A: We welcome picture taking, but ask that the use of flash be minimized while the guide is telling a story. If picture taking during a story becomes distracting, the guide will ask you to wait till they have finished the story. If you capture any paranormal phenomena on your camera, we would appreciate it if you email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may share it with others.
Q: Is it all right for me to text or use a cell phone during the tour?
A: No. If our guides notice you using a mobile devise during a story, they will ask you to stop. If you continue to distract the guide, you may be asked to leave the tour. If you are asked to leave the tour because of being disruptive, your will not receive a refund.
Q: What happens if guests are disruptive?
A: If a guest is being disruptive to the guide or other guests, the guide will ask them to refrain from continuing their disruptive behavior. If the guest continues to be disruptive, it is the guide’s discretion to ask the guest to leave the tour, in which case, the ticket will not be refunded.
Q: What if I have to use the bathroom during the tour?
A: Please try to use the rest room before the tour. In case of an emergency, the tour guide will help direct you to a rest room, but due to time constraints the tour must go on.
Q: Is this tour suitable for children?
A: The tour is designed for participants of all ages, however we recommend that those with younger children or who are easily frightened proceed with caution.
Q: Is the walking tour wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, our route is fully accessible to wheelchair, scooters and strollers. However, the entrance to the historic jail is narrow, so most wheelchairs can not enter, but they can be at the open door and still hear and see the storyteller.
Q: Is the trolley tour wheelchair accessible?
A: With one week’s advance notice, we can accommodate guests in wheelchairs on the Lawrenceville Ghost Trolley. However, those guests will not be able to follow the tour into the Historic Lawrenceville Cemetery.
Q: I want to take the trolley tour, but I have a great deal of trouble walking.
A: While there is about two to three blocks of walking on the Lawrenceville Ghost Trolley, it is optional and guests who have mobility issues may stay in the trolley. They would miss about 15 to 20 minutes of the tour, but would still get over an hour of entertainment.
Q: Are the stories on the trolley tour different than the walking tour?
A: While there are some stories that are on both tours, there are many stories that are only heard on the trolley tour or the walking tour.
Q: Where is a good place to eat before/after the tour?
A: Lawrenceville Square is full of wonderful places to eat, drink and shop. You will pass many of these fine establishments while on the tour. Do not hesitate to ask your tour guide for a recommendation.
